A very nice year for this long time resident on the farm.  I am still in the process of confirming its identity, but I am homing in on Centifolia, perhaps Gros Choux de Hollande.  Nearly thornless, red buds in clusters of 3-7, opening into very fragrant cupped blooms.  leaves are lighter green, large, and somewhat ruffled or “bullate”.  Could be “Bullata”, but leaves not excessively rumpled.

 Any hints?
