I built a pair of dollies for a local farmer who is using the Joel Salatin/Polyface Farm poultry raising system. I found 7″ ball bearing wheels to be suitable, and the use of 1/2″ sch40 black pipe allowed me to weld securely and also to bend shapes in order to simplify and preserve strength.
Barrel-style root washer, based on a model I saw in Central Massachusetts in the 80’s. Variable speed, heavy steel reinforced waterproof loading chute, Rugged water supply supports, Bolted construction and weather protection of controller. Locally harvested lumber is stiffer than aluminum channel, sustainable, and replaceable with simple hand tools. I have eliminated chain slippage problems by using a heavier detachable link chain. Several of these models are now in service and are performing well. Price and delivery on request. firstname.lastname@example.org
